Oh yes, you can eat it. And it’s delicious.

We’ll tell you how to make the sand and the filling mix base, then feel free to add whatever you like to it: cut up bits of cake, fruit, or anything else you can think of! The filling base is a smooth and creamy pudding texture with a light tropical flavor, so it is great to add a little fruit and nuts and leave as more of a pudding, or to feed a crowd use it to coat a main item, such as fruit . . . or an angel-food cake . . . or both icon wink Edible Sand Cake We <3 setting you free in the creativity department! *Pictured: Yellow Cake with Pineapple & Raspberries

Sand:

6 Cups Nilla Wafers

5 Oreos

Directions:

Pulse in a blender until it looks like sand

Filling Base:

1 Package Cream Cheese, softened

1 Container Frozen Whip Topping (like Cool Whip), defrosted in refrigerator

1 Large (5.1 ounce) Package Instant Vanilla Pudding

1.5 Cups Cold Milk

1.5 Cups Cold SunTropics Passion Orange Guava Juice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with blender on low until combined.

Items to add to Filling Base:

*Pick and choose one or a combination of any of the below listed options, or come up with your own ideas!

Angel Food Cake

Yellow Cake *If you use any type of cake besides Angel Food Cake, be sure to assemble your Sand Cake just before the event so it does not get soggy. Angel Food Cake holds up a bit better.

Watermelon

Grapes

Apples

Bananas

Berries

Pineapple

Mango

Papaya

Pears

Nuts

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. In a clean sand bucket, pour half of your filling (mixed with whatever you would like) in the bottom. Top with half the sand mixture. Pour remaining filler atop the sand, and top with remaining sand.

2. Serve with clean sand shovel.
