How does super simple, packed with health benefits, & amazingly delicious sound? We thought so, too. We use chia seeds as the thickening agent, so no cooking is required! More good news: since you don’t have to cook the fruit, all the natural, raw health benefits go right to you! And chia seeds are rich in omega threes and nutrients! Your tasters and the rest of your body will be saying thank-you!
This recipe makes a great base for experimenting with different fruits and juices. Use fresh or frozen and thawed fruits for fresh jams all year long! Just keep the ratios the same, and let the the no-cooking begin!
2 Cups Fruit (Feel free to mix and match! Pictured: We used 1 Cup chopped mango that had been frozen and thawed, and 1 Cup fresh raspberries)
1/4 Cup SunTropics Juice (Pictured: We used Calamansi)
1 Tablespoon Raw Honey
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
1. Blend fruit, juice, and vanilla to desired consistency (if you prefer your jams with bits of fruit, use the “chop” setting on the blender; if smooth is more your style, puree it up!).
2. Stir in chia seeds.
3. Pour into a jar and let set for about 1 hour.
4. Store in refrigerator for 1-2 weeks, depending on the fruits and juices.
